aboutme
paulspresser
Hi, my name is Paul Spresser, and I'm a bilingual French-English graphic artist and web designer. Born and raised in the United States, I now live and work in the sunny South of France and frequently visit friends and customers in the UK.
My work is principally web-oriented, and I've collaborated with agencies, companies and associations such as Icare, Eco Média Conseils, Oxatis, SII and Aliant Informatique.
I'm a Oxatis Graphic Partner – a designation that ensures my expertise in creating e-commerce designs and layouts based on that platform and equipping me with a deep knowledge of CSS.
I also have a breadth of experience with email marketing utilising HTML emails and newsletters that require a particular type of coding to allow layouts to display correctly across most email clients and webmail services.
My collaboration with Eco Média Conseils has helped me continually improve the search engine optimisation of the websites I've developed. These successful efforts have even yielded some first-position Google results.
mybackground
I've always been attracted to creativity and art, and my leisure activities include drawing, music, photography, and video. My background includes many years in social work as social animator then director of local social and cultural facilities. Then in 2003, I took a new direction that allowed me to bring together both my passion and experience. I went into training and obtained the "Infographiste Multimédia" diploma in 2005 and have since worked as a professional web designer.
mystyle
I seek to adapt to the special requirements of each project while framing it in a light-hearted yet uncluttered and functional design that highlights the message or product rather than the medium. Even when working on "institutional" types of projects, I love jobs that allow me to do a bit of cartoon drawing or animation.
mysoftware
I work mostly with Illustrator and Photoshop for graphic creation, Flash for animation, and Dreamweaver for website development.
I also use Reason and Audition for composing, recording and editing music..
